Frequently asked questions.

How do I book an appointment?

To schedule an appointment with one of our artists, please go to their artist profile page and contact them using their preferred communication method.

Do I pay a deposit?

Yes, deposits range from $50-$100 and are due upon booking. Deposits will be credited towards your tattoo total on the day of your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable.

I am not artistic, how will my artist know what I want tattooed?

Don't worry! You don't need to be a skilled artist to get a stunning tattoo. Just tell us what you want during your consultation and we will bring your ideas to reality! You can use websites like Pinterest and Instagram to find style ideas and show them to your tattoo artist.

How much will my tattoo cost?

At Ink Oasis, we calculate the cost of your tattoo based on each individual piece. Once we have all the information about your tattoo design, we can give you an estimate if you'd like! The price will depend on factors such as the size, level of detail, and where you want the tattoo to be placed.

What is the proper aftercare for my new tattoo?

Check out our aftercare page!

What are your hours of operation?

We are primarily by appointment only and our business hours are as follows:

  • Wednesday to Friday: 12:30 pm to 7:00 pm

  • Saturday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?

At Ink Oasis, we only allow guests who are 18 years old or above.

Do you take walk-ins?

We schedule appointments, but sometimes we have openings for walk-ins! To see if our artists are available today, reach out to us by phone or email.

I have been feeling a little sick, can I still get tattooed?

If you're not feeling well, it would be better to reschedule your tattoo appointment for a later date. Our priority is to maintain a healthy environment for our artists and other guests. Please inform your artist about your inability to make it for the appointment.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes! We highly recommend meeting in person for big projects. To request a free consultation, please complete the form on our website's home page. If your tattoo is simple or small, we might be able to schedule your appointment through email or phone calls.

What can I do to prepare for my appointment?

It is crucial to have a nutritious meal before your tattoo appointment and stay hydrated before, during, and after your appointment. It's even better if you keep your skin moisturized with lotion in the days leading up to your appointment. Please don't come to your appointment under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask your tattoo artist!

I am not sick, but I am currently taking antibiotics; can I get a tattoo?

Talk to your doctor and get their approval if you're taking antibiotics. These medications can slow down healing and raise the chances of getting an infection.

Does a tattoo hurt?

Everyone has a different ability to handle pain. When getting a tattoo, small needles are used to pierce your skin, so you might feel something!

Do you offer any numbing solutions for the tattoo process?

At Ink Oasis, we provide a numbing solution to ease any discomfort after the skin has been broken during the tattooing process. We have found that applying the numbing solution after the initial line work is the most effective approach. This option can be particularly beneficial for larger-scale projects. It's important to note that while there are numbing creams available, not all of them are equally effective. Moreover, some creams may affect how the ink is applied to the skin and impact the healing process of the tattoo. If you are interested in using a numbing solution, we recommend consulting with your tattoo artist beforehand.

Can I bring a friend to my tattoo appointment?

We don't refuse entry to your friend, but they might get bored depending on how long your tattoo will take. It's always appreciated if you talk to your artist beforehand to let them know you're bringing a guest.

Can I bring my child with me to my tattoo appointment?

Children are not allowed in the rooms where procedures take place. It's recommended that you find someone to take care of your child during your appointment.

Does your shop offer piercings?

We currently do not offer piercings.

Do you do cover-ups?

Cover-ups are accepted. It is recommended you schedule a consultation to discuss your project.

Will you add to or finish another artists work?

It depends on the circumstances and the artist. Consult with your preferred artist!

Does my skin type matter when getting a tattoo?

If you have a skin condition such as acne or rashes, you should let that heal before tattooing the area. If you have a chronic or serious skin condition, consult with your doctor to seek ways to clear it up and/or avoid the area.
